DHAKA: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury nominated a 5-member panel Speaker conducting sessions in absence of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker at the first sitting of first session of the 10th parliament on Wednesday evening.

The panel speakers are Abul Kalam Azad, Ashiqur Rahman, Sahara Khatun, Nurul Islam Suzon and AKM Maidul Islam.

The Speaker nominated them as per the rules of business of section 12 (1) of the parliament.

Earlier in the day, the first session of the 10th parliament began.           

President M Abdul Hamid convened the session on January 13 as per Article 72 (1) of the constitution.
