DHAKA: The customs authority seized gold chains weighing three kilograms from a passenger of an airbus of Malaysian airlines (MH-196) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday night.

Airport Customs Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Wazed Ali told banglanews, “Acting on tip-off, customs authority searched the passenger’s hand bag and found the gold chains.”

Later, Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel seized the gold chains worth about Tk 1.20 crores and detained the passenger.
