One burnt alive in Ctg fire

CHITTAGONG: A teenage boy was burnt alive and seven houses were gutted as a fire broke out at Firoz Shah Colony in the port city early Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The cause of the fire, broke out at 2:55am, could not be known immediately.

Sources said that on information, three fire fighting units from Agrabad and Bayejid Fire station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after one and half hour efforts.

But in the meantime, a teenage boy, who trapped inside a house, burnt alive and seven houses and a grocery shops were gutted in the devastating fire.

The loss in the fire was primarily estimated at 7 lakhs.
