A Chinese national died today (April 17) after falling from a building under construction in Narayanganj's Fatullah upazila.

The accident took place at 9:30 am in Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial area located at Shasangaon under the upazila.

Deceased Zhang Ji Bin, 55, was an electrical engineer of TBEA Company.

TBEA Company interpreter Salim said that the construction of power plant in a five-story building in BSCIC area is going on.

“On the second floor of the building, Zhang Ji Bin was working standing on a piece of wood in a gap between the power lines. At that time, the wood broke and he fell down through the empty space of the building,'' he added.

Later, he was quickly rescued and taken to Narayanganj Sadar Hospital.

From that place Zhang Ji Bin was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the emergency department doctor declared Zhang Ji Bin dead.
