Two people were killed and at least 25 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Mymensingh's Tarakanda upazila this morning (April 16).

The accident occurred around 8:30 am at Ramchandrapur of Kodaldhar Bazar on the Mymensingh-Tarakanda road.

However, the identities of the casualties could not be known immediately.

Tarakanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Wazed Ali confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

According to him, police and fire service personnel jointly conducted the rescue operations. 

Two passengers were killed on the spot, he said, adding the traffic situation became normal now.

Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Police Camp in charge (SI) Jahangir Alam said about 25 people were injured in the collision between the two buses.
