Three people including woman and child of a family have been killed in a road accident in Mymensingh district.

This tragic accident took place on Tangail road in Maijbari Lengra Bazaar area of Sadar Upazila on Tuesday (April 9) morning.

The deceased are - Md. Lutfur Rahman, 30, wife Shahnaz, 25, and their two-year old son Mohito. The deceased were resident of Dighirpar village in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district. They lived in Bhaluka Square Masterbari area.

In this accident Lutfur Rahman’s eldest son Mojahid, 6, was critically injured and receiving treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

The deceased couple was a garment factory worker.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kotwali Model Police Station Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter. 

He said that the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the hospital morgue. Details will be provided later.
