Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) Prof Satya Prasad Majumder today (April 1) said that they are bound to follow the court order that allows student politics on the university campus.

VC was talking to reporters at his office after the High Court (HC) passed an order, lifting the ban on student politics on the public technological research university campus on Monday.

“We must obey the HC order. We cannot be accused of contempt of court,” he said in a reaction to the court order.  

Earlier on Saturday, Majumder expressed his solidarity with the demand raised by the agitated students to keep the campus free from student politics.
