An official of the Spanish embassy in Dhaka died after reportedly falling from a multi-storey building's roof in the capital’s Gulshan area. 

Ismail Gil Serrano died on Sunday (March 3) noon. 

Gulshan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Sheikh Shahinur Rahman confirmed the matter. 

He said, “This Spanish official died this afternoon after falling from a building opposite of pink city. Initially, we doubt that Serrano committed suicide.”

"Ismail Gil Serrano was mentally disturbed. Earlier he beat people for no reason. Many people called us through 999 and complained about Serrano," said Shahinur.

The officer also said that necessary steps will be taken after the investigation.
