The Artificial Intelligence (AI) signal system camera has been introduced in the capital’s Gulshan-2 signal.

This system will immediately detect the traffic rules violator and issue a case automatically.  

The authorities of Dhaka North City Corporation said an AI signal system has been installed at Gulshan-2 signal, which will be installed at 6 more points in the capital.

A traffic policeman, seeking anonymity, said that a case will automatically be filed if you touch the white spot while the red light is on. Even if the vehicle lacks a license and expiry date, it will be caught on camera.

Dhaka North City Corporation CEO Mir Khairul Alam said that no fine is being levied in this case. The city corporation is not able to punish now even after getting the information about breaking the traffic law. 

He said, “We are working on the system along with law enforcement agencies, once the work is completed it will be possible to punish the rule breaker.”

This new technology will be introduced gradually throughout the capital,” he added.
