Two people were killed and at least six others injured after a bus of 'Ena Paribahan' collided with a covered van in Narsingdi's Palash upazila early Saturday (Feb 24).

The deceased identified as Idris Ali, driver of the Ena Paribahan bus; and Shaheed Mia, driver of the covered van, hailed from Kishoreganj district.

Palash Police Station OC Jashim Uddin confirmed the matter.

The accident took place around 4am at Kadamtala when the Dhaka-bound bus from Sylhet collided head-on with a covered-van, leaving the two drivers of the vehicles dead on the spot and six others injured.

The injured were admitted to Narsingdi district and Sadar Hospital.

Vehicular movement on the road resumed after the removal of the two vehicles, he added.
