At least seven people were killed today (February 16) in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Mymensingh.

The accident took place in Alalpur area of Sadar Upazila in the district around 11:00am.

Kotwali Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Main Uddin confirmed the matter

However, the identities of the victims could not be known immediately. 

According to the police, the accident happened when the bus crashed into the autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction on the Mymensingh-Sherpur regional road in the Alalpur area, leaving all seven dead on the spot.

Police have been dispatched to the spot to conduct a recovery operation, OC added.
