The Bangladesh railway authorities on Wednesday (December 6) decided to launch another fresh intercity train on Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar route. 

A press release signed by Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, Assistant Chief Operating Superintendent (east zone) was issued in this regard today.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan at a press briefing at his office said, "We will send a summary to the prime minister with several proposed names of the train and with the prime minister's permission, we will launch a new train on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route from January."

The names that will be proposed are - Palangki Express (old name of Cox's Bazar), Tarango Express and Prabal Express.
