Metropolitan Detective (North-South) Division of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has arrested three youths for allegedly torching bus in Khulshi and Chandgaon areas in the city.

The arrestees are - Md. Ridoy, 22, Md. Nazir Sharif, 21, and Md. Raihan, 24.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB-North) Sheikh Sabbir Hossain confirmed the matter on Tuesday (December 5).

He said on Sunday night, a procession was passing in front of the Relax Paribahan counter; suddenly Ridoy threw a flare targeting a bus. At the same time, Nazir and Raihan threw stones and broke the front glass of the bus and ran away

The driver and assistant were seriously injured in this incident. On Monday night, the three youths were arrested, he said.
