DHAKA: A person was killed as a train knocked him down from behind in city’s Karwan Bazar Rail Crossing area on Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Witness said a train hit the man while he was crossing Karwan Bazar Rail Gate area, leaving him dead on the spot.

Dhaka GRP officer-in-charge Abdul Mazid said police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
