Taranco for frequent talks

DHAKA: UN Assistant Secretary General Oscar Fernandez-Taranco on Wednesday said the dialogue between Awami League and BNP would continue for peaceful and inclusive elections.

The special envoy to the United Nations (UN) came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at a city hotel in the evening.

He told journalists that the UN wants free, fair, peaceful and inclusive elections in the country.

Taranco also said, “I have met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Begum Khaleda Zia and political leaders and informed them that people of the country want non-violent elections.”

He also thanked for the hospitality of Bangladesh during the visit.
