17-Kg gold seized at Ctg airport

CHITTAGONG: Airport customs authority recovered 17 Kilogram gold from a flight of BG-Dubai at Shah Amanat Airport in the port city on Wednesday morning.

Chittagong Customs Assistant Commissioner Parvej-Al-Jaman told banglanews, “During regular checking to the flight, custom officials found 138 gold bars weighing 17 Kilograms from the toilet of the airbus in an abandoned condition.”

The worth of the seized gold was about Tk8 crore.

Earlier on November 20, eight Kilogram of gold was seized from the same flight, he added.
