A father and his son were killed after an oil-laden lorry hit them in Gazipur's Mirer Bazar area on Friday (May 26) afternoon

The deceased are Jalil Hosen, 58, and his son Shohid, 14.

Milton Kund, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pubail Police Station confirmed the matter.

He said Shahid was sitting in a wheelchair and Jalil was carrying him along the roadside in Mirer Bazar area. At this time, an oil-laden lorry hit them, leaving, the two dead on the spot.

On receiving the information, the police went to the accident scene and recovered two bodies, he said, adding Legal action in this regard is under process.
