The government on Monday (Mar 13) fixed office timings for this Ramadan from 9:00am to 3:30pm.

A decision in this regard was made at a cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

There would be a 15-minute prayer break from 1:15pm. 

The new timing would be effective for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions, the meeting sources said.

The Supreme Court, hospitals, banks, insurance agencies, railway and emergency services providing organizations will fix their own time.

The Ramadan is likely to begin from March 24.
