Bangladesh receives $195.88cr remittance in January

Bangladesh received $195.88 crore in remittances, which is equivalent to about Tk 20,959 crore, in January 2023.

The amount is about $25.91 crore more than that of December, and around 25.43 crore more compared to the same period of FY 2021-22 when the country received $170.45 crore in remittance, Bangladesh Bank said in its updated report on Wednesday (Feb 1).

In January, the most remittance came through Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) followed by Mercantile Bank and Al Farah Islami Bank Ltd.
