The new moon of the holy month of Rajab of Hijri 1444 was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh. As a result, the counting of Rajab month will begin from Tuesday (Jan 24). 

Shab-e-Meraj, however, will be observed in the country on February 18 (Saturday night).

The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting at the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram in the capital on Monday evening.
