A Rohingya leader was shot dead allegedly by miscreants at a camp in Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya upazila early on Wednesday (Nov 30) morning.

The deceased was Sahab Uddin, 35, son of Monir Ahmed, a resident of H-14 at Camp-12. He was a sub-majhi of the Rohingya community.

The officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhia police station Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the matter.

He said some miscreants entered Shahab's house and shot at him this morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
