Police arrested three drug peddlers along with 1000 purias of heroin and 50 pieces of yaba tablets worth Tk 2 lakh in Ashulia of Savar.

The arrestees were identified as Bayjid Hossain, 40, Noor Islam Sheikh, 48, and Abul Hossain, 32.

They were sent to court on Tuesday (Nov 29) afternoon.

Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Masood Al Mamun confirmed the matter.

He said police arrested them from the road near Bansh Bagan, Mandalbari North Bypile of Ashulia around 4:30 pm on Monday (Nov 28).

A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been filed with Ashulia police station against them, he added.
