Bashundhara Kings have made a flying start in the season’s curtain-raiser 12th Independence Cup 2022 after beating Fakirapool Young Men’s Club by 14-0 goals in their group match at Shaheed Dhirendranath Stadium in Cumilla on Monday (Nov 14).

With this feat, Kings booked two records of the biggest victory and highest scoring in the country’s top tier domestic competitions. 

Kings’ Brazilian forward Robson Robinho and his compatriot forward Dorielton Gomes Nascimento made one hat-trick each in the day’s goalfest match.

Dorielton scored six goals in the 24th,44th,48th,84th,86th, 90th minutes and Robson three goals in the 13th, 24th and 62nd minutes.

Also, midfielder Biplu Ahmed, defender Tariq Kazi, Brazilian forward Miguel Figueira, midfielder Masuk Mia Jony and defender Yeasin Arafat contributed one each in the 6th, 10th, 21st, 67th and 68th minutes.
