At least 30 people including a journalist were injured when a mad dog bite them in Jhenaidah's Kaliganj on Friday (Nov 5).

The injured were not identified immediately.  

The incidents occurred in different Kaliganj Municipal Council areas around 7 pm.

However, the injured were treated at Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex. 

According to locals, a mad dog wandered around different areas of the municipality and started biting pedestrians one after another.

Deepto Television's Jhenaidah correspondent Shahriar Sohag confirmed this matter. 

He said, "I was bitten by a mad dog and took first aid at the hospital".

Kaliganj Municipality Mayor Ashraful Alam Ashraf said that 15 people have already been given vaccines. Others injured will get vaccines today.
