Art Therapy helps relieve stresses

DHAKA: Art therapy is a form of therapy that encourages creativity and self-expression to reduce stress, improve self-esteem, increase awareness and recover from trauma.

Art-based mindfulness activities could reduce headaches, a common side effect of stress on school children, men and women. 

Most of us knew this instinctively as kids: virtually all of us know the joys of sculpting something with clay, painting something with fingers, or drawing with crayons and other materials.

There are many simple activities you can try from the comfort of your home such as art journaling, sketching, making collages, sculpting with clay, etc. It doesn’t matter what media you choose. The only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable using it.

-Taking even a few minutes on a regular basis to devote to a hobby can give you more of what you need in this area. You have the additional benefit of being left with something interesting to show for it.
