DHAKA: This week’s beauty tip is on ‘Peach Lips and Cheeks’. Take your makeup box and try…

Peach Lips and Cheeks

Who said going matchy-matchy was a bad thing? At the Museum of Modern Art screening of The Great Gatsby in New York City, American actress Emma Roberts paired her faint peach blush to her apricot lip stain for a chic tone-on-tone effect.

Inspired by her dress, Roberts’ makeup artist Nick Barose repurposed a sheer lip stain as a blush to tie the look together.

‘The peaches and cream palette of her dress and her beautiful skin called for an ethereal pink-nude lip – kind of like the effect in Renaissance paintings,’ he told InStyle.

‘I stained her cheeks and lips with a sheer colour, then filled in her brows slightly darker, adding extra mascara to balance the look and give it an edge.’

When going for a similar effect, apply the stain to the apples of your cheeks, then blend outward toward your cheekbone.

Make sure to blur any harsh edges with a touch of sheer powder or foundation to create the most natural effect.

After applying the colour to her lips, Barose layered a nude lipstick by Votre Vu on top to create dimension.

‘Opt for a nude lipstick that isn’t opaque or matte, but sheer and fresh so the texture of your lips can peek through,’ he added.
