Russian missiles hit an oil depot in Vasylkiv, its mayor said, prompting fears of toxic fumes.

Air raid sirens in Kyiv sounded shortly before midnight local time (2200g) warning of incoming missiles.

Residents of the Ukrainian capital are taking cover underground, with a curfew in place until Monday morning.

The city's mayor says anyone seen in the streets will be considered a Russian "saboteur".

Huge numbers of people continue to flee Ukraine for neighbouring countries Poland and Moldova.

Western countries say they will remove some Russian banks from the Swift network, effectively disconnecting them from the international financial system.

They have also pledged to prevent Russia's central bank from evading sanctions, and stop wealthy Russians from gaining "golden passports".

The US, Germany and the Netherlands are sending more weapons to aid Ukraine's war effort.
