Dengue: 310 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 310 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Friday morning (Oct 14), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 197 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 113 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,916 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 799 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 23,592 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 20,794 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 83 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
