The government has yet again extended the closure of all educational institutions, now till May 29, across the country, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The closure of all universities was extended till May 29, said Education Ministry's Public Relations Officer MA Khair on Sunday.
The decision was taken considering the safety of students, teachers and staffers after consultation with the National Advisory Committee on Covid-19.
The release said during the closure online classes will continue and students and guardians should maintain health guidelines.
Earlier in the day, the Primary and Mass Education Ministry extended the closure of primary schools and kindergartens till May 29, as a preventive measure against further spread of coronavirus.
Last night, the education ministry extended the closure of all secondary and higher secondary educational institutions till May 29.
