6 held for leaking HSC questions

DHAKA: Cyber Crime Team of Detective Branch of police detained six people for their alleged involvement in different cyber crimes, including leaking questions of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.

During the drive, the law enforcers rounded up them from city’s Demra area on Wednesday night.

The detainees are Abdul Majid, Assistant director of directorial Board of Golam Mostafa Model College, Raihan Chowdhury alias Dan Brown, Rahul Mia, RAihan Mia, Arefin Rabbi and Ovi Abdullah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) joint Commissioner Monirul Islam said in press conference at DMP media center on Thursday.

He said they were allegedly involved in taking money from many assuring them to manipulate the answer sheet and attempt to leak questions of HSE exam in facebook.  

Cases were filed against the detainees under Information and Communication Technology Act and Public Examination Act, he added.

During the drive, police recovered two CPUs of computer, a Lenovo Tab, A Lenovo Laptop, 9 different brands mobile sets, answer sheet of HSC Exam, a notebook that content facebook and bKash accounts, says the joint Commissioner.
