‘Study in India’ fair at Bashundhara City

DHAKA: A two-day education fair ‘Study in India’ started at Bashundhara City in the capital on Friday.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran inaugurated the fair at 11:30am.

Affairs Exhibition and Media Private Ltd organized the fair with the assistance of a2z Study.

A total of 25 universities and three schools took part in the fair organized at Level-18 of Bashundhara City. Most of the universities are from Kolkata, Bangalore and Delhi.

The universities include Amity University, Kolkata, Lovely Professional University of Punjab, Sarda Engineering University of Delhi, SRM University of Chennai, AIMS Institute of Bangalore, Dayanand Sagar University of Bangalore, Presidency University of Bangalore, ICFI University of Tripura, Alliance University of Bangalore, Graphic Era University of Dehradun, Adamas University of Kolkata, City Group of Institutions, University of Engineering and Management of Kolkata, Institution of Engineering and Management of Jaipur, NSHM Group of Institutions-Kolkata and Durgapur, JJT University of Rajasthan and Rajlakshmi School of Business of Chennai.

The schools include Himalayan International Residential School at Shiliguri, the Sagar School Co-educational Boarding at Rajasthan, India International School at Bangalore took stalls in the fair.

According to these stalls, most of the participants will provide scholarships based on merit. These institutions will allow admission with 50 percent scholarship. The universities are only receiving application for admission in the fair. Later, the applicants will be admitted on basis of merit. Some universities to will take admission test.


From now on, interested Bangladeshi students can study under 20 courses including IT, Engineering, Paramedical, Dental, Nursing, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, MBA, BBA, Hotel Management, Journalism, Architecture  in India.

In the 2-day exhibition, the visitors are getting opportunity to interact directly with the authorities of Boarding Schools, Universities & Colleges from India offering wide choice of programs and courses in India.

The third edition of ‘STUDY IN INDIA’ was held on 9th & 10th June'15 at Chittagong and got huge response from students.
