Blue panel wins in BUTA polls

DHAKA: Government supported blue panel of Barisal University has won in its teacher’s association election.

Blue panel has won in all 15 posts of Barisal University Teachers Association (BUTA) polls held on Wednesday night.

Economics Department teacher and chief election commissioner M Alauddin announced the result at 11:45pm.

Arif Hosen, teacher of English Department and Abdul Kaiyum, teacher of Marketing Department has become the president and general secretary respectively in the election. 

Other office bearers are Vice-president Hena Rani Biswas, assistant secretary Tareq Mahmud Abir and treasurer Prabir Kumar Bhoumik.  

Members are M Abir Hossain, Sujan Chandra Pal, Jyotirmoy Pal, M Jamal Uddin, M Mizanur Rahman, Ahmed Ullah, Sumi Rani Saha, Fatema-Tuj-Jhohra, Samiron Roy and Israt Jahan.
