IU (KUSHTIA): As per the order of the authorities, thousands of students of Kushtia Islamic University (IU) left the halls suffering a lot on Monday.

A fourth year student of management department Emi Khan told banglanews, “The order to leaving the hall put us in deep trouble. I am waiting here for two hours for bus.”

The students also alleged that the transport authorities are taking double fare.

Earlier, the authorities decided to keep the university closed till September 7 following in a clash between police and BCL men in the campus.

Besides, all classes and examinations have been suspended till further notice, added the authorities. The academic activities of the varsity will resume on September 8.

The syndicate also ordered the students to check out of their dormitories within 12:00 pm Monday to avert any unwanted situation.

On Sunday, at least 20 people were injured in a clash between police and BCL men.

Of the injured, five received bullet injuries and four members of proctorial body were also attacked during in the clash.
