Number of colleges with cent per cent pass shrinks

DHAKA: Number of colleges having cent per cent pass marks has reduced this year, just published results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations 2010 showed.

However, number of colleges with ‘zero pass’ has also reduced.

According to the results, cent per cent students of 714 institutions out of total 7101 came out successfully. In 2009, the number of colleges showing cent per cent pass was 755.

Under Dhaka Board, 14 institutions have no failed students, which is highest among all general education boards.

A total of 546 institutions under Madrasah Board saw all their students passed this year.

Not a single student from 25 institutions could pass in the examinations which was 41 last year.

Comilla and Sylhet boards have no institutions with ‘zero pass’.
