DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has recommended scrapping the Board of Directors (BoD) of Basic Bank Limited on charge of massive irregularities.

The central bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman issued a letter to secretary of Banking and Financial Division in this regard.

A copy of the letter also was sent to Finance Minister AMA Muhith.

Assistant General of the central bank AFM Asaduzzaman made the disclosure on Thursday.
