BENAPOLE (JESSORE): The consignment supply of Benapole land port resumed after 22 hours of the products unloading at the port.

Sources said local Jubo League leader Rashed, also a commissioner along with scores of his aides, blasted some cocktails in front of the house of Sharsha Upazila Juba League president and also a tender owner of the port Ohidul Islam Ohid over a clash on Wednesday.

Following the incident, the port workers stopped works from 2:00pm in the day.

After 22 hours of closure, they joined their work as the situation became calm.

Benapole Police Station Officer-in-Charge Apurba Hasan told banglanews that additional law enforcers were deployed to avoid further unwanted situation.
