DHAKA: Secretary of industry ministry Mohammad Mohiuddin Abdullah said that the government is not permitting to run any industry without setting up Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). 

He came up with the disclosure while addressing an inauguration program on ‘Training course on environment levels and declarations’ at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the city on Sunday morning.

The secretary said that the incumbent government won’t spare anybody on installing ETP. Many factories of the country are now producing environment friendly goods with a lot of responsibility. 

He also said that Bangladeshi citizens are ready to pay additional money to produce environment friendly goods. Even, they are still paying.

Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Representative, National Productivity Organization (NPO) Director Nazrul Islam, NPO Joint Director Abdul Baki Chowdhury was present among others in the program.
