TEA HEAVEN RESORT (SREEMANGAL): Banglanews Editor-in-Chief Alamgir Hossain in his concluding speech said young generation of the country will not derail if tourism flourishes.
‘The youth will pass time in visiting several places if we can develop domestic tourism,’ he added.
He made this assertion at a special discussion on the prospects and problems of tourism in greater Sylhet held at Tea Heaven Resort in Sreemangal upazila of Moulvibazar district on Sunday morning (July 24).
The editor-in-chief further said that the newsportal will always uphold the possibilities of tourism particularly in Sylhet region.
‘The region blessed with the presence of 360 saints has a lot of possibilities in the tourism sector. Banglanews will present the immense possibilities as well as the hindrances in flourishing tourism in this region enriched with haor-baor and tea gardens.’
Mentioning the monsoon as a suitable time for Sylhet tour, Alamgir Hossain said that the region shows its beauty during rainy season. ‘The tea gardens become greener as well as the wetlands become more attractive.’
However, civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon was present here as chief guest.
Earlier, Banglanews senior output editor Zakaria Mondol and assistant output editor Ashif Aziz conducted a presentation on the reports published recently by banglanews on Sylhet tourist spots through a projector.
