Denmark keen to be partner in Bangladesh agro dev

DAHKA: Danish Ambassador to Dhaka Winnie Estrup Petersen on Monday (Feb 18) said her country is interested to be a partner in agricultural development of Bangladesh. 

“Denmark is interested to become a partner in agricultural development in Bangladesh. Besides, Denmark will continue its cooperation to Bangladesh in future like in the past”, she said this during a call on Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque at his secretariat office.

The agriculture minister said there are opportunities for mutual cooperation between the two countries in different sectors, including agriculture and tourism. In future, the relations with Denmark will further strengthen. 

In the meeting, Minister Abdur Razzaque said after independence, Denmark took part in our country's development assistance. The country provides help in various sectors including fishery, technology and agriculture. In addition, Denmark has signed deals in 2016 in various sectors including climate change.

Winnie Estrup Petersen said Bangladesh and Denmark have long-lasting and long-term partnerships and bilateral foreign relations. Friendly relations have been developed between the two countries since the independence of Bangladesh.
