DHAKA: Bangladesh national women football team captain Sabina Khatun and Bangladesh female Football team under-16 captain Krishna Rani Sarkar have finally been given Indian visa to join Indian Women’s League football matches.

Both of them met High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla and thanked him for granting them visa on an immediate basis.

The High Commissioner wished them the very best in their careers both in India and Bangladesh and said he was confident that the winning streak by Bangladesh women’s team would be replicated wherever Sabina Khatun and Krishna Rani Sarkar played.

However, the two footballers were supposed to get Indian visa on 14 March but they did not get on the day. Later the date was fixed for Thursday but they did not get the visa. They are supposed to play Indian Women’s League for Sithu FC of Tamil Nadu.
