DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged the Khulna City Corporation election is not being held in traditional festive manner but it is full of chaos and persecution by ruling party men. 

He also alleged that BNP agents are being assaulted and thrown out from polling centers and that election under Sheikh Hasina is just a big bluff.

The senior BNP leader made the remarks at a press briefing in party’s Naya paltan central office on Tuesday noon (May 15).

Rizvi said, “BNP mayoral candidate Nazrul Islam Manju said the ruling AL backed terrorists with the help of police thrown out BNP agents from 40 polling centers. Moreover, many of our agents have beaten up by AL men.”

Voting in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) began amid tight security measures and festivity on Tuesday (May 15). The balloting began at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm.
