FENI: A local leader of Chhatra Dal was killed and two others injured as a truck rammed their motorcycle on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Mohipal area of Feni Sunday (February 18).

The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain Mintu, 26, joint convener of Sonagazi upazila unit Chhatra Dal also secretary general of the upazila bikers’ association.

The injured are—Saifur, 25, and Forhad, 27, friends of the deceased.

Family of the deceased said that a truck rammed the motorcycle while the trio were crossing the road before the RAB camp in Mohipal. 

However, the injured were given initial treatment at a local hospital and later shifted to Dhaka.

Mohipal Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Aual confirmed the incident.
