DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that they don’t know about the current condition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as she is in jail.

“We want to know from the government how the three-time Prime Minister (Khaleda Zia) has been kept in the prison. How is she doing there?”, Rizvi said at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central party office Friday (February 9). 

The BNP leader further said that Khaleda has been punished in a false and fabricated case and therefore condemnation pours over it across the country and abroad.

“The commoners including all the political parties have rejected the verdict against Khaleda Zia with condemnation”, Rizvi added.

However, Khaleda Zia was sent to jail on Thursday (February 8) as a special tribunal sentenced her to 5-year in prison in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
