‘Next polls to be held under Hasina to save sovereignty’

RAJBARI: Deputy Speaker Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah on Saturday (January 20) said that the next general elections will be held in December or January next under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as per the constitution.

Addressing a reception program in Rajbari, the Deputy Speaker said that the BNP is trying to catch fish in muddy water centering the next polls. Whatever BNP will join the next parliamentary election or not, it is not matter. The election would be held under Sheikh Hasina for the interest of saving country’s independence and sovereignty, he added.

The program was arranged at Goalanda upazila headquarters in Rajbari to accord reception to the newly appointed state minister for education and MP of Rajbari-1 constituency Kazi Keramat Ali.

Goalanda upazila Awami League and associate bodies organized the function with the upazila unit Awami League president Nuruzzman Mia in the chair.

Chairman of Rajbari Zila Parishad Fakir Abdul Jabbar and deputy commissioner (DC) of Rajbari Md Shawkat Ali also spoke it, among others.

Fazle Rabbi Miah asked BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia not to try to create violence centering the next polls. Otherwise, she will face tougher action.
