RANGAMATI: Some unknown miscreants stabbed a female leader of Rangamati district unit Awami league, her husband and son in their house in Rangamati on Wednesday night (Dec 6).

The victims were identified as Jhorna Khisa, vice-president of Rangamati district Mahila AL unit, her husband Jitendra Lal Chakma and son Ran Bishnu Chakma.

Relatives of the victims said some 10 to 15 miscreants carried out the attack and injured them. They are now undergoing treatment at Rangamati General Hospital.

Meanwhile, the victims claimed that a regional organization of the hill district is responsible for this attack.

They alleged that the reason behind this attack is Jhorna’s statement made against a regional party in a rally of Awami League.
