DHAKA: Several people were injured and motorcycles were put on fire in a clash between two factions of ruling Awami League in Dhaka’s Azimpur area on Thursday noon (Nov 16).

The clash broke out in front of Pearl Harbor community center in Azimpur while police had to fire a few rounds of tear cells and blank shots to control the situation.

Witnesses and locals AL leaders said two rival groups of pro-AL took stand in front of the community center since morning. Police forces were also deployed in the area to avert any untoward situation.
