CJ’s absence not a problem: Anisul Law Minister Anisul Huq speaking as a chief guest at an anti-drug program

DHAKA: Mentioning Chief Justice SK Sinha’s resignation, Law Minister Anisul Huq said that the absence of Chief Justice is not a problem since the next course of action will be taken as per constitution.

He made the remark while speaking as a chief guest at an anti-drug program entitled ‘No more drug, it should be resolution’ held in city’s Baridhara area on Wednesday (November 15).

While delivering his speech, the Law Minister said, “Rulings, as regards the absence or resignation of Chief Justice or even the responsibility of this position, are laid out in the constitution,”

Organized by ‘Prottoy Medical Clinic,’ cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was made the special guest to raise awareness among young people about the horrible impacts of drug on our society.

Young people are being exiled from a free and healthy life due to drug. To bring them back to normal life, Mashrafe has taken up the responsibility on his shoulders to eliminate this cancer from the country.

The special guest Mashrafe said that, “Drug is a very sensitive subject. It is like a virus that spreads out. Those who are doing good, making progress for the country, most of them are young people. In every sector, if we see, young people are heading forward.”

Moreover, he added that most of those who take drug are young people too. It’s only their determination which can turn them back. May be they are making mistakes. But, a little help from closed ones could bring them back to light.

Chief Consultant Syed Imamul Hossain of the Directorate of the Department of Narcotics Control and Chairman of the Prottoy Medical Clinic Nazmul Haque were present among others.
