‘Govt fails to govern country’

DHAKA: BNP vice chairman Abdullah-al-Noman has alleged that the incumbent government fails to govern the country. It did not control the price hike of rice and other commodities due to its incapacity, he said.

The BNP leader made the allegation at a discussion meeting and protest rally held at the National Press Club in the city on Thursday (September 21).

Jatiyatabdi Karmajibi Dal arranged the program protesting the price hike of essentials and demanding resolving of the Rohingya crisis. President of the organization Hazi Mohammad Liton presided over the program.

Noman came down heavily on the government for its failure to control the price hike of rice. The countrymen are facing untold suffering due to abnormal price hike of rice, he said.

The BNP leader said that the government wants to hold another voter-less election to cling to the power. The BNP won’t take part in the next Parliamentary elections without the election-time supportive government, he added.
