NOAKHALI: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has once again said that the Eid journey this time will be hassle free due to various efforts of the government.  

He said this after a relief distribution function for flood-hit distressed people at Kabirhat municipality in Noakhali on Saturday (August 26).

Obaidul Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, earlier on Thursday (August 24) at a function in Narayanganj also said that the Eid journey of commuters this time will be hassle free as a result of prior preparation in this regard.

The minister in Noakhali function said that they are working restlessly for relaxing Eid journey. The engineers will remain on roads and highways to make the Eid journey relaxing. Some 70 per cent pf the repairing works on the road and highways have already been completed and the rest repairing works will be completed before the Eid, he added.   

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Noakhali Mahbubul Alam Talukder, Police Super Ilias Sharif and mayor of Kabirhat municipality Jahirul Haque Raihan also attended the function, among others.
