DINAJPUR: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has distributed relief materials among flood victims in Bangibechi area of Dinajpur town.

Dinajpur district unit BNP arranged the distribution program on Tuesday noon (Aug 15).

The flood situation of the country is worsening due to heavy rainfall and on rush of upstream water. Most of the northern regions are inundated as major rivers have swelled up. Tens of thousands of people are marooned and suffering from food and drinking water crisis.   

While distributing releif, Fakhrul said the country is facing grave sufferings when countrymen are denied from their basic rights. The ruling government has failed to ensure peace and comfort to its citizens as always. They have failed to stand beside the flood-hit people. They went far from common people.  

Many senior BNP leaders and activists were present at the relief hand out program where Mirza Fakhrul directed party men to stand beside the flood affected people of the country.
